Does it detect non-metal contaminants like plastic or paper?
Yes. Beyond metal, glass, stone, and bone, SameGram X-ray systems detect dense rubber, hard plastics, ceramics, and even internal paper inserts (labels, leaflets) left inside sealed packs.
Non-metal contaminants it can catch
- Dense rubber & hard plastics — e.g. conveyor or machine fragments.
- Ceramics & stone — chips from kiln or processing wear.
- Glass shards — from jars, bottles, or broken containers.
- Internal paper inserts — misplaced labels or leaflets sealed in the pack.
Detection depends on density contrast versus the product. Very low-density items may need verification — SameGram confirms on-site before purchase.
